Au Pair Application

I, hereby confirm my comprehension of all provided written materials by Au Pair & Nanny Network Australia and that I meet all necessary criteria. Recognising that the Au Pair program is a Cultural Exchange Program and not an employment contract, I acknowledge the significant levels of responsibility and adaptability it demands, and I agree to approach my role as an Au Pair with seriousness.

• I affirm the honesty of all my responses and the accuracy of the information provided in this application
  
• Upon confirmation of placement, I commit to maintaining communication with my host family and will only travel to them upon official confirmation from Au Pair & Nanny Network Australia.


• I will familiarise myself with any visa requirements, obtain necessary documents prior to departure e.g. valid passport, and ensure compliance with visa regulations.I agree to cover expenses related to the program such as Agency Placement Fee, Visa costs, Insurance, travel to and from my host country, language courses while also ensuring I have sufficient funds for travel and unforeseen expenses.


• I acknowledge and agree to all program guidelines, particularly those about working hours, au pair duties, pocket money, leisure time, holidays, language courses, transportation, insurance, and termination procedures.Upon arrival, I will discuss daily and weekly routines with my host family, clarifying expectations for the Au pair program.


• I understand that childcare responsibilities take precedence and commit to fulfilling them responsibly and compassionately.


• I agree to perform light household duties to contribute to the cleanliness of shared spaces, including maintaining my own room and, if applicable, bathroom.


• Before attempting any form of discipline, I will consult with the host family and refrain from any physical punishment or leaving children unattended.


• I will abide by all house rules established by the host family and conduct myself appropriately throughout my stay.


• I will coordinate my free time activities with my host family and actively engage in learning the language and culture of the host country.


• If a solution cannot be reached and I must leave my original host family, I am aware I must complete a 14-day cancellation period and fulfil my obligations during this time.


• I acknowledge that relocation to a different city may be necessary if placed with a new host family and additional fees/ costs may occur at my expense.


• I understand that failure to comply with this agreement or program guidelines, falsification of information, premature initiation of the Au pair stay, physical discipline of a child, or repeated issues with host families will result in removal from the program.
  
• I agree that I am aware that a placement fee will be paid to Au Pair and Nanny Network upon acceptance of a host family.


• I agree that should I choose to withdraw from the program after confirming acceptance of a placement, that the placement fee is non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the placement co-ordinator.


• I agree to abide by the laws of the host country and recognise that violation of these laws may lead to removal from the program.


• Recognising the priority of my responsibilities within the host family, I will seek their approval before taking on additional jobs.


• I will promptly notify Au Pair & Nanny Network Australia of any changes to my application information or if I decide to cancel my application.


• As a participant in a cultural exchange program, I agree to behave responsibly and respect cultural differences.


• I will make every effort to resolve any issues with my host family and will contact Au Pair & Nanny Network Australia for assistance if needed.


• I understand that I can always reach out to my agency in the host country for support during times of questions or issues.

I look forward to this cultural experience exchange and will endeavour to participate as an active family member.

I confirm I have answered all questions honestly and all information I have provided in the application is true.

I acknowledge that I have been advised to seek legal advice if I do not understand the terms and conditions.
